Notes of a shopaholic
Friday, June 27, 2003:
I noticed that GQ, in their otherwise highly stimulating fall fashion preview, is advocating trucker hats. What gives? I thought GQ was supposed to be all about the classics, and intelligently integrating contemporary trends. I know they've been trying to get hipper lately, but this just smacks of desperation.

Okay, broke down and purchased a few items from Bluefly yesterday. I hate to wait and then see the stuff gone. Anyway, three different items--this shirt, this shirt (somewhat risky for me--I decided to forego the army green one that I would typically purchase for this deep red), and these pants for a grand total of $91 including shipping. Can't beat that.

When I saw these Havaianas thongs on Yoox, I was honestly not very impressed. They look like what we called 'flip-flops' when I was a kid, although the 'natural rubber' listed as the material was intriguing. But they've flown off the site--apparently they are this very cool footwear from Brazil. Who knew? Anyway, only a few left.

At their stores, I always think French Connection is horribly overpriced, but when their stuff shows up at Marshall's or on Bluefly, it can seem like affordable fashion basics.

Not too much to mention today, but I did want to note that bluefly sent me two coupons with my order: GIFTBLUE44 and GIFTBLUE22 both take 15% off your order, both expire 7/31/03.
