Notes of a shopaholic
Thursday, March 20, 2003:
Got a cute catalog from a home design company I hadn't heard of West Elm. Very zen modern, and excellent prices (frex, a totally cool low sofa for $699, really interesting pillow covers for $19 to $24...). Basically cooler than Crate and Barrel. Unfortunately, it looks like they don't have online shopping, but you can order a catalog through their website.

Shoptart at Hintmag calls our attention to Aloharag, a Hawaii based online store with Martin Margiela stuff, among others (albeit not at discounts).

Apparently Benetton is planning to embed impossible-to-remove radio chips in their clothing!

I picked up the aforementioned Ralph Lauren striped cardigan (which has a little bit of Marc Jacobs flavor) for 50$ at the nearby Ralph Lauren Warehouse sale, which has quite the selection of excellent sweaters... Got rearended on the way down there. Trunk taillights, totaled. But shopping takes its toll...

Bluefly's finally got some interesting new stuff this morning--including a windbreaker from Helmut Lang and a corduroy peacoat from Theory.
